Environmental Awareness - Solar Installation

Solar Installation

After years of research the Club decided to reduce it’s energy consumption and demonstrate social responsibility and late last year had Solar installed on the roof. A total of 581 of the latest technology Enphase microinverter equipped solar panels were installed, making it one of the largest rooftop systems in the southern hemisphere.

The system creates an average of 800 kilowatt hours of energy which is equivalent to 300 megawatt hours over it’s lifetime. It is providing 25% of power to the club and in the first month saved us around $10,000. But not only is the system reducing energy and cost for the Club it is also doing it’s bit for the environment with 5,000 trees and 274,000kg of CO2 being saved so far, which is amazing! We are very proud to be doing our bit for the community and environment by have this system installed.
